FOR OUR SUMMER “PLAGE” 2017 COLLECTION, WE INVADED THE HOUSES OF FOUR LA MAMAS WITH KILLER STYLE. WE’VE ADMIRED ANDA GENTILE’S LOOK FOR YEARS (SHE HAS LENT HER SKILLS TO MORE THAN ONE HATCH COLLECTION) AND ASKED HER WHAT MAKES DRESSING FOR THE BUMP AND FOR KIDS AFTER THAT SO TOUGH, AND HOW TO FEEL YOURSELF THROUGH ALL OF IT.
HATCH/What do you “do”?
I am a Fashion Stylist.
HATCH/What is most important to you?
Right now, so many things…I can easily say my family and good friends, Julian is my number 1.
HATCH/How do you make your voice heard?
Through my creativity in my work. I’ve always been an artist of sorts; photography, painting and so within the boundaries of styling, I try and create looks that inspire me and represent who I am.
HATCH/What did you feel when you found out you were pregnant?
I didn’t believe the test so much that we had to google what “+” meant..then it was the purest form of elation one would ever feel.
HATCH/What is your parenting style?
Most people would say I am strict at times, but pretty laid back. I like to watch and laugh a lot with Julian so it gets tricky when it’s time to be strict. I am a single parent, so I don’t have conversations about my parenting style often, so I would say it’s all intuition based.
HATCH/What’s your favorite part about being a mother?
Everything about the closeness…I love it all.
HATCH/Describe your style in 5 words.
Casual, chic, classic, bohemian, rock and roll.
HATCH/Describe your pregnancy style in 5 words.
Comfortable, bohemian, fun, loose, confused.
HATCH/Favorite HATCH pieces.
I LOVED what I wore for the shoot: The Marina Top, The Romy Dress, The Kiki Tank. They’re just good designs that are easy to wear. And easy to style.
